About

I got a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Florida, an M.S. in Geography (Urban and Regional Planning) from Peking University, and a B.Agric. in Landscape Gardening from BJFU.

My research centers on urban planning and spatial science, with broad interests in human–environment interactions, particularly hazard management, resilience, human mobility, and environmental and social change across diverse global contexts.

My research methods integrate spatial and statistical analysis, computational modeling, remote sensing, data mining, qualitative inquiry, and design skills.

Beyond research, I have worked in planning practice and tool development in the environmental and transportation fields, collaborating with government agencies in both the U.S. and China.
