About
I got a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning, an MS in Geography (Urban and Regional Planning), and a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (Landscape Gardening).
My research interests include spatial science, urban planning, travel behavior, hazards & resilience, and public health.
My primary research methods include spatial analysis, big data analytics, spatial statistics, and remote sensing. I am proficient in GIS software, Python, and R. I also have training in 3D geospatial techniques, data mining, qualitative and community-based approaches, and urban and landscape design.
I have participated in research and practical projects focusing on the environment and/or transportation in the U.S. and China. The practical projects involve developing plans or tools that are put into use, with government collaboration and consistent community engagement.
I consider myself as a spatial scientist and urban planner.
